Teaching Mathematics Through Biology

Lower-level mathematics subjects often use Physics examples.  Many students find Biology more intuitive.  Can we teach mathematics through Biology instead?  I plan to develop an online resource which provides examples of many different mathematical concepts in the context of biological applications.

I have applied to the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) for funding to help support developing this.
